Key West City and Florida State law specifically prohibits the operation of any motorized vehicle on a sidewalk or other pedestrian specific travel zone. Any bicycle using battery assisted operation must only occupy lanes of travel reserved for motorized vehicles unless a bike lane is present. All E-bike operators are expected to use common sense and caution when traveling on public right of way.  
IT IS AGAINST FLORIDA LAW FOR ANYONE UNDER THE AGE OF 16 TO OPERATE ELECTRIC OR MOTORIZED BICYCLE.
